Who even is this guy?
I’m Kieron — the Tech Guy.
a 25-year-old entrepreneur with a genuine passion for technology that started at a young age. My journey began by building my first gaming PC at just 13, inspired by a family of gamers and a fascination with the science behind computers. This early interest quickly evolved into a career focused on performance, sustainability, and a strong drive to make technology better for everyone. I’m a firm believer in the right to repair and promoting recycling to contribute to a more sustainable tech future.
My professional path began with a formative experience at a local shop called Short Circuit in Callington. While that venture faced the significant challenges brought by COVID-19, it laid a crucial foundation for what came next. Since then, I’ve established Tech Guy Tavistock, a thriving hub for tech solutions, custom PC builds, and even unique offerings like stylish gadgets and Pokémon cards. You can find me operating every Friday from the heart of Tavistock Pannier Market, where I enjoy being a positive part of the local community.
In just six months, Tech Guy Tavistock has been fortunate enough to receive some significant recognition. We were recently awarded ‘highly commended retailer’ at the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF) Young Market Traders regional finals in Bristol, an honor that has propelled us to the national stage. Our work has also been featured in local publications like tavistock-today.co.uk, and we’re excited for broader exposure with an imminent BBC Spotlight television segment.
This August, I’ll be representing Tavistock at the National Young Market Traders event in Stratford-Upon-Avon (August 22-23). It’s an incredible opportunity, and I’m aiming to serve as many as 50,000 people with our awesome products. The business was started with my sister Ellie, who is the behind-the-scenes “Mr. Business” making sure everything runs smoothly. Tech Guy Tavistock continues to evolve, driven by my commitment to the community and an enduring passion for ethical, accessible technology.
